Rameshwar Singh Teachers Training College, Gaya Admission Process

Rameshwar Singh teachers training college, Gaya, is now hailed as one of the best institutes of teacher education in Bihar. This college has the recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi, and is intended for courses that teach how to train teachers.  The process of admission into Rameshwar Singh Teachers Training College is directed by the by-laws on State control regarding teacher training programs. Two programs have been dominated by the college: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.), activities running for two years. Normally, the admission procedure is carried out during the time of the new session that generally starts in the month of August-September.

B.Ed admissions require all applicants to possess a mark card from the admission test for B.Ed. conducted by the state of Bihar, thereby screening candidates on the basis of the required aptitude and knowledge for entry into the program. Selection of candidates for the D.El.Ed. course will be made strictly on a merit basis, whereby selection will be made on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, according to the policies of the state government.

For B.Ed. Admissions:

  1. Candidates must appear in the B.Ed. admission test as conducted by the state of Bihar.
  2. Must have a valid score from the state-level entrance examination.

  4. Attach all relevant documents including the academic certificates and other documents as specified by the college.
  5. Submit the completed application form along with the necessary documents to the college admission office before the deadline.
  6. The College will prepare a merit list based on the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination marks, as per state government policy. 
  7. Wait for the merit list or admission offer from the college
  8.  If selected, fulfill the admission formalities, including verification of documents and payment of fees, within the stipulated timeline.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): Rameshwar Singh Teachers Training College has a total intake capacity of 150 seats for the B.Ed. program. The basis for admission is the performance of candidates in the B.Ed. admission test conducted by the state of Bihar. Admission to the B.Ed. program will be generated on merit list produced on the basis of details of verified candidates qualifying with a valid scorecard of the entrance examination at a Bihar state level. The duration of the course is two years, and it aims to provide comprehensive training to future teachers at the secondary and higher secondary level.

D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education): This two-year diploma training program offers training for teachers at the elementary level pertaining to pedagogical and other teaching skills appropriate to young learners. Admission to the D.El.Ed. program will be held on merit basis with candidates selected for entry based on qualifying examination and/or entrance examination as per state government policy. The D.El.Ed. program has 100 seats available for admission.
