Established in the year 2005, Sammilani Teachers Training College is one of the prestigious centres of education in Kolkata region, West Bengal. This co-educational college aims at providing competent teacher-training programs to future teachers. This college is affiliated and has obtained NAAC accreditation and NCTE approval. The college has a compact 2-acre campus, and at present, there are a total of 140 students enrolled and a faculty strength of 22. There are two undergraduate and postgraduate programs in education that the institution offers.

The facilities include a well-stocked library with 3000 to 3500 textbooks and reference books separately categorized into sections for reference, lending, and reading. Besides, there are several other specialized laboratories on the campus such as ICT, Curriculum, Language, Educational Technology, and laboratories for Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Mathematics, Psychology, History, Life Sciences. Various extraprogrammatic activities and events can be organized in a multi-purpose auditorium for 200 people or in the seminar hall for 100 people. The students have at their disposal a canteen, health center with first-aid facilities, gym, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, modern learning environment with excellent IT infrastructure, and campus-wide Wi-Fi connectivity.

Sammilani Teachers Training College runs two full-time courses in education, each admitting 150 students. This would encompass two continuous years of strenuous training, both in the theoretical and practical aspects of education. This college deals solely with teaching education, again speaking to a commitment to the grooming of knowledgeable and skilled educators.
