Sidra B.Ed. College, Malda was established on 2008. It is a constituent college with an affiliation in National Council for Teacher Education. This is a special set-up co-ed institution to provide teaching training for the students. The college has a small premise of 0.8 acres of land area. Currently, there are two courses offered on a regular basis: B.Ed and D.El.Ed. The aim of Sidra B.Ed. College is an enrollment of 200 students and a faculty strength of 25 that can give a compact learning atmosphere for budding teachers.
The institution takes care of facilities which are sufficient enough to cater to the academic growth as well as personal development of the students. Adequate hostel facilities for boys and girls provide comfortable accommodation for those coming from out-of-town places. Admission to Sidra B.Ed. College shall be made in conformity with the policies of the state government and affiliated university. Admission in B.Ed. is on merit base based on marks obtained in eligible examination and/or entrance examination. Candidates of D.El.Ed are admitted on merit base in eligible examination or through an entrance test as decided by the policy of state government.

B.Ed.: This B. Ed course at Sidra B. Ed College has an approved strength of 100 seats. Admission to this course is accorded on merit basis with reference to marks secured in qualifying examinations and/or entrance examination and may be in accordance with any other criteria of the state government or university policy. An eligible candidate must have graduated or post-graduated in the relevant subjects from a recognized university.
D.El.Ed: Sidra B. Ed. College has 50 seats for D.El.Ed. programs. The admission process for this course is also merit-based, depending on the marks secured in the qualifying examination. However, for D.El.Ed. Admissions, the state government may opt to conduct an entrance test or any form of selection. Typically, applicants have completed their 10+2 or equivalent education.
