Smt. L.P. Patel Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology, Anand, was established in 1981 as one of the premier constituent colleges located in Karamsad, in the state of Gujarat. It is a co-educational institute covering 100 acres, exclusively dedicated to the education of medical laboratory technology. There are 2 specialised courses with an enrolment of 67 students and 11 faculty members.

Myriads of facilities are meant to enrich the learning experiences and general welfare of the students. The hands-on training in medical laboratory technology, which is very essential for such education, is availed through the equipment available in the state-of-the-art laboratories located on the campus. The intake for the Diploma course is 60, and that of the MS.c is.
