Established in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, Sri Vekkaliamman College of Education is one of the premier colleges for teacher education. Set up in the year 2007, this college for boys and girls has been making educators for more than a decade. Sri Vekkaliamman College of Education possesses various learning resources which are aimed at improving the learning process of the college’s learners. The college boasts of best equipped laboratories is the physical Science laboratory, Biological laboratory, Psychological laboratory, the Educational Laboratory Technology laboratory among others. A modern Language Laboratory for twenty students at once is devoted to the development of the spoken English. At present, Sri Vekkaliamman College of Education has only one full-time course, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. This nursing programme takes two years to complete, and has an approved intake of one hundred students to allow the college to offer quality education in small classes. B.Ed course is aimed at giving the potential teacher the knowledge and skills that he or she will require once employed in any teaching institution. The college has a total of 171 students and total faculties are 15 which make the good student-teacher ratio so that students can get personal attention and counselling.
