The college named as Tura Government College was set up in 1958 in Tura, the head quarter of West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya state of India. This affiliated college having its campus spread over 19 acres has been imparting education to the students for more than six decades. The college is NAAC accredited and is multi-faceted and providing several undergraduate courses in both arts, science, and commerce streams. The total student strength of the college is 3882 but the faculty of the college is quite limited having only eighty members that enable an effective environment for growth of the students.
In this section, Tura Government College has been equipped with variety of facilities that seeks to complement the learning process of students. The library facility with a Librarian and Vice Librarian has a wide number of books, periodicals, journals, newspapers and reference books.
