The college named Tura Government College was set up in 1958 in Tura, the headquarters of the West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya state in India. This affiliated college, having its campus spread over 19 acres, has been imparting education to the students for more than six decades. The college is NAAC accredited and is multi-faceted, providing several undergraduate courses in both arts and science and commerce streams. The total student strength of the college is 3882, but the faculty of the college is quite limited, having only eighty members that enable an effective environment for the growth of the students.
