The Full Form of OLTP is Online Transaction Processing. Online Transaction Processing is a sort of data processing that consists of conducting several concurrent operations, such as online banking, shopping, order entering, or text message sending. History of OLTP

• IBM introduced OLTP in 1970 and made it operational for American Airlines.

• OLTP was initially run on IBM 7090 systems.
