Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Rajasthan Sanskrit University (JRRSU) was established in 1998 is a premier state University was established in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Despite occupying a large area of 78 acres this institution is aimed at the preservation and development of Sanskrit literature and education. Accredited by the University Grants Commission [UGC] and affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education [NCTE], JRRSU provides 84 courses spread over 14 programmes of study. The university is currently enroling 894 learners and has a faculty of 20 members, thereby ensuring that the learners as well as the faculty members create the best ambiance for learning and research in different areas of Sanskrit studies and related areas.

Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Rajasthan Sanskrit University has numerous up to date facilities that aid its academic functions. Some of the exclusive programmes are BA Yoga Science, BA B. Ed, BA MA Sanyuktacharya, MA Yoga Science  ,Acharya, Shastri and Acharya in various subjects. It also offers diploma courses in such specific sanskrit disciplines as Jyotisha and Wastushastra to those interested. In terms of courses that zeroes on academics, JRRSU envisions to ensure that the ancient knowledge is protected while ensuring that students are trained to great future challenges.

The admission process that is conducted by Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Rajasthan Sanskrit University is always competative and very fair. Admission policies state that majority of the classes are competed for on merit or scores from qualifying examinations, or tests set by the university. The Pre-Shiksha Shastri Test (PSST) is among the important entrance examination that leading to many programmes, especially for B.Ed and Shiksha Shastri. Admission dates may differ each year but the general admission process of the university is prior to the start of academic year from July/August.
