Alinagar Teachers Training College is situated in Murshidabad, West Bengal and focused only on preparing teachers. The initial year of this co-educational college started from the year 2016 and within this short period of time, it has earned a reputation for itself in providing teacher training. Situated in a campus measuring only 0.998 acresеримe.The college is an affiliated college recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The total admissions at Alinagar Teachers Training College are 182 students, and there are 20 faculties in the college. At the moment the college offers only two post graduate courses in education which prepares teachers at different grades.

The college has facilities that provide and support students in their educational activities and other meaningful activities. At the centre of these is the well-infrastratured library which contains 6,545 publications that includes 39 encyclopaedas and 6 educational newspapers and magazines. The library has a reading room where students can read bulk assignment or carry out extensive research as it holds 50 students. 

To support training, the college provides department specific workplace laboratories. It is equally useful to note that student benefits from the provision of such amenities as sporting amenities, an event and seminar hall and modern information technology amenities. The campus also has a cafeteria where students can have their snacks and there are different hostels for boys and girls for out station students. He has administrative offices, a library, modern classroom facilities, health center with first aid facilities for students.

Alinagar Teachers Training College offers two full-time courses in education: A degree in Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) & Diploma for Elementary Education (D. EL. Ed.). The two programs offered have a calendar period of two years for each program and the annual cohort size of 50 students give a total annual student intake of 100. These courses aim at producing teacher Professional graduates for teaching at various learning institutions with the appropriate teaching skills.

The procedure for admission of students in Alinagar Teachers Training College is strictly merit system where percentage aggregated in the qualifying examination is taken into account. For B.Ed program this university follows the norms of respective university for admission to the program. Admission to D.El.Ed programme is based on admission policy of the state government/UT administration or prescribed by the distance mode having conducted written entrance examination or other mode of selection.
