The college has facilities that provide and support students in their educational activities and other meaningful activities. At the centre of these is the well-infrastructured library, which contains 6,545 publications that include 39 encyclopaedias and 6 educational newspapers and magazines. The library has a reading room where students can read bulk assignments or carry out extensive research, as it holds 50 students. To support training, the college provides department-specific workplace laboratories. It is equally useful to note that students benefit from the provision of such amenities as sporting amenities, an event and seminar hall and modern information technology amenities.
Alinagar Teachers Training College offers two full-time courses in education. A degree in Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) & Diploma for Elementary Education (D. EL. Ed.). The two programmes offered have a calendar period of two years for each programme and the annual cohort size of 50 students give a total annual student intake of 100. These courses aim at producing teacher Professional graduates for teaching at various learning institutions with the appropriate teaching skills.
