4. Document Submission: Candidates must submit the following documents along with the completed application form:

  • Passport size photographs
  • Mark sheets of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th, and Bachelor's degree for B.Ed.; B.Ed. degree for M.Ed.)
  • Proof of date of birth
  • Category certificate (if applicable for reservation quota)
  • Any other documents specified by the college at the time of application

5. Application Submission: After this, any completed application form with all relevant documents must, according to specifications of the college (online/offline), be submitted in person at the college admission office.

6. Application Fees: Payment is to be made of the application fee as prescribed by the college. The method of payments (cash, demand draft, or online) will include an explanation in the instructions related to the applications.

Degree wise Admission Process:

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): The B.Ed. program at the Bengal College of Teacher Education is ready for 200 students for a full-time course to be completed in two years for B.Ed. No B.Ed. admission is based on merit: such merit will be based on qualifying examinations and institutions may consider entrance exam scores or adopt other selection processes in accordance with West Bengal government policy and affiliated universities. Eligible candidates should be graduated or obtained equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized university.

M.Ed. (Master of Education): The M.Ed. is an advanced course for 2 years, which builds upon the foundation of B.Ed. The college has an intake of 50 seats for this program. M.Ed. admissions are merits based, just as in the B.Ed. process, so any Bahang marks to have been obtained in the qualifying examination (B.Ed. or equivalent) consideration will be based on the entrance to the college. The college may have prescribed additional selection procedures as made by the state government or university. An eligible candidate may apply for the M.Ed. program if he/she has done a B.Ed. extension or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
