Built on the principles of entrance-based and merit-assured admission, the BPS Institute of Teacher Training and Research, Sonipat, merits to be a coveted institute for running all these programs in education. The institute also adheres to the policies laid down by the state government, the university, and the U.T. Administration. The usual criterion of admission being performance in the entrance examination and/or marks in the qualifying examination. Application Process

1. Check eligibility criteria for the desired program.

2. Do appear in the appropriate entrance examination as demanded for the course.

3. On qualifying for the entrance exam, fill in the application form, which should be available online or at the institute.

4. Send the duly filled application form along with the relevant documents like:

   • Mark sheets of qualifying examinations

   • Entrance exam score card

   • Character certificate

   • Migration certificate (for those who apply)

   • Caste certificate (for reserved categories)

   • Any other documents specified by the institute

5. The institute will prepare the merit list based on the performance in the entrance test and/or on merit-based criteria on the academic record.

6. The shortlisted candidates will be called for counseling and seat allotment on the prescribed criteria based on merit.

7. The candidate should pay the prescribed admission fee in the given time to confirm his/her admission as applied for the course.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Ed.:
The B.Ed. program has an approved intake of 100 students. Admission to the B.Ed. program is merit-based, taking into account marks in the qualifying examination and/or the entrance examination, as per the policy of the state government and the university in regard.

M.Ed.:
With an intake of 50 students, the M.Ed. program is included in merit-based admission criteria, which may include the evaluation of qualifying examination marks and the entrance examination, based on the policy outlined by the institution.

MA in Education:
The seats are 30 in this program. Admission is given based on the performance of candidates in an entrance test conducted by the institute.

Ph.D. in Education:
The entrance-based Ph.D. program permits only five students for admission. The candidate who must qualify takes the Ph.D.
