Kumily’s College of Teacher Education is one of the constituent colleges founded in Idukki, Kerala, in the year of 1994. This is a co-educational centre that is located on 2 and a half acres of land and has a teacher training college. Affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college mainly focuses on teacher training. The college is providing education to 100 students at a time, and the faculty member strength is 8; therefore, we have a proper student-teacher ratio to provide quality education. As of now, the institution can only award one degree programme, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), because its emphasis is on teacher training.
College of Teacher Education is affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. There is, therefore, a variety of teaching and learning facilities available for students in the College of Teacher Education, Kumily.
