Maharaja Jitendra Narayan Medical College and Hospital (MJNMCH), Coochbehar, was established in the year 2018 in the district of Coochbehar, West Bengal. It is a co-educational institution that imparts varied medical courses with the flagship CPMBBS and a few diploma courses offered by it. A very newly founded institution, within a very short span of time, it has earned a good name as an affiliated college and has set itself as a nodal center of medical education in the region. It provides facilities for an enrolment of 400 students with a faculty strength of 67.
College library is a resourceful center that makes research and academic materials available for the students in medical literature. In the thicket of extracurricular activities, MJNMCH offers sports facilities and an auditorium that hosts various events, seminars. The campus is studded well with modern laboratories designed for practical training; the campus also comprises an excellent health center with first-aid facilities that guarantee the wellness of students. It is supported by an IT infrastructure to fill in for the shortcomings in the approach. There are separate hostel facilities for boys and girls for more convenient life, cafeteria, and guest rooms for visiting faculty and members of the family, and all other on-campus facilities.

In Coochbehar, Maharaja Jitendra Narayan Medical College and Hospital (MJNMCH) has been considered one of the best medical colleges in West Bengal. The medical college provides a comprehensive admission process for various medical courses, the main emphasis being given to the MBBS course. Admission to MJNMCH is given according to merit, mainly based on the NEET exam for selection to the MBBS course. The admission process for MJNMCH is on the whole based on the NEET exam, done once every year. To qualify for admission to MJNMCH, a candidate needs to clear NEET, which is the main entrance test for medical colleges across India. The NEET examination is generally held in May and the result is announced in June-July. Thus, the admission counseling processes at MJNMCH start after the announcement of NEET scores.
MJNMCH has also been granted permission for 100 seats for MBBS. A candidate is eligible for MBBS admission on the grounds that he/she must pass his/her 10+2 or any equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as the subjects of study. Degree wise Admission Process
MBBS: Admission to the MBBS course is on the basis of merit in the NEET examination. The college has 100 seats for the program. Initially we didn't get any. Now it's on the verge of completion and we are seeing a dream of studying in the second largest medical college campus of WB. Since the campus will be fairly new no problem. But equipments for laboratory had been provided so that our academics isn't hampered.
