Admission schedules are normally based on the academic calendar of Gulbarga University, the home university of the college. Admission dates may change from year to year, but prospective students are advised to gear up for applications well in advance, usually a few months prior to the institution's commencement date.
The basic eligibility for admission is that the candidate must have a minimum of 50% marks at either the graduate or post-graduate level. Application Process

2. The duly filled application form must be completed accurately with personal and academic details.
3. Accompanying documents must include:
Graduation/post-graduation mark sheets and certificates
10th and 12th standard mark sheets
Transfer certificate from the institution last attended
Character certificate
Caste certificate, if applicable
Recent passport-size photographs
4. The completed application form should be submitted to the college office with the required documents before the expiry date.
5. If there are too many applications, the college may conduct a written test and interview to select candidates. In this case, shortlisted candidates will be notified of the test and interview dates.
6. Preference will be given to candidates from Karnataka and to candidates sponsored by the Don Bosco Society.
7. After acceptance, candidates must complete admission formalities, which include payment of fees and submission of original documents for verification.
8. All admissions are subject to the approval of Gulbarga University.
Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Ed: Two years of full-time Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program at Don Bosco College of Education lead to an awarding of a B.Ed degree providing the pedagogic skills to the students, knowledge of course content along with practical teaching skills. The college has an approved intake of 100 students for this program. Admission to the B.Ed program is based mainly on an applicant's academic performance in the graduation or post-graduation programme, which is a must with a minimum of 50% marks.
