At the Palakkad locale of Mannapra lays the Ezhuthachan Training College, founded in the year 2005, aimed to inspire educational enlightenment of the state Kerala. This affiliated college is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and is situated in a small 3 acres plot providing an uncluttered environment for learning. It has a total intake of 50 students, 7 faculties where it offers closer attention to aspiring educators and professionals. The institute now has five self-financing B.ED specialisation programmes in Mathematics, Physical Science, Social Science, English, besides the general BED course.

Ezhuthachan Training College has many amenities that will improve the learning process of the learners as the following is discovered; Modern library and departmental laboratories are useful as a source of knowledge and as a practical workshop, respectively. There is the general B.ED programme which has the largest number of intakes being 100, while the specialised ones include: B.ED English, B.ED social science with 13 seats each and B.ED Mathematics and B.ED physical science each having 12 seats. Each course is a two-year full-time programme, aimed at giving students both pedagogical training, and subject Specialty.
