The University of Calicut, Malappuram was established in the year 1968 and it is a government university. Calicut University is approved by the UGC (University Grant Commission) and accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade. The university offers postgraduate-level programmes under its various departments. The courses are available in full-time and online mode. Calicut University courses include M.A., M.Com, M.Sc, M.Phil, M.B.A., and many others.

Calicut University Scholarships - At University of Calicut, Kerala students can avail numerous scholarships. However, students must meet the minimum eligibility criteria prescribed by the university to get University of Calicut scholarships. The university offers various national level scholarships. As per Calicut University scholarship process, eligible students are required to visit the national scholarship portal and register themselves. Few of the national level scholarships offered by CU are Post Graduate Merit Scholarship for University Rank Holders at Undergraduate Level, Post Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship Scheme For Single Girl Child etc.
Step 1: The eligible students are required to visit the National Scholarship Portal and fill their application for the scholarship they are eligible for.
Step 2: Submit registration form print out along with necessary documents to the university department office.
Step 3: The department will verify the documents submitted.
Step 4: Once the documents are successfully verified, the students will receive a text confirming initiation of the scholarship process.
Step 5: In case of any error in the application students are informed via a text. Students can make corrections by visiting the department office.
Step 6: The final decision to offer scholarships is taken by the concerned authorities (UGC, MHRD etc.)
