The college offers two full-time postgraduate programmes in education: Bachelors Of Education (B. Ed) & Masters Of Education (M. Ed). The B.Ed programme admits 100 students and takes two years to provide a basic knowledge of teaching approaches and educational principles. The M.Ed programme admitted 50 students and is also a two-year programme of advanced study in educational leadership and research. Both programmes aim at preparing students with the competencies and the content knowledge for prospective practice in the area of specialisation. Admission in GCTE is also based on merit because the institution holds the academic standards in high esteem. For the B.Ed programme, the admission is only on the basis of further marks scored in the qualifying examination and or an entrance test.
