    One of the first 16 institutions in India, the University of Kerala was founded in 1937 and was formerly known as the University of Travancore. The Maharajah of Travancore, Sri Chithira Thirunal Balarama, who also served as the institution's first chancellor, officially established Kerala University. The University of Kerala is connected with 167 colleges. According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Kerala University is ranked 24th in the university category for 2023. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has granted the university accreditation.     Kuhs offers B.Sc. in Cardiovascular technology, in order to get admission in BCVT or any other B.Sc. course you need to score atleast 50% in 10 +2 examination having PCB stream and English as a language subject. The admission in KUHS for BCVT is purely based on merit basis.

    Students must take the medical entrance exam that is administered by the Medical/ Pharmacy/ Dental Council of India with regard to the programme in order to be admitted to KUHS.
