Starting from the academic year 2021-2022, there is a new entrant in the Tamil Nadu medical college fraternity named Government Medical College, Kallakurichi. This affiliated college was founded in Siruvangur Village, Kallakurichi, which is acknowledged by the National Medical Commission (NMC), so it follows all the medical colleges norm of India.
