Guru Nanak College of Education for Women, Kapurthala started in 1966 is a leading college which aims at building the future of women in education field. Situated in the historical town of Kapurthala Punjab, this affiliated college has been training budding teachers for more than fifty years. Approaching recognition from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the need for the college is more than palpable. Situated on a tightly-knit 3.7 acres, Baker offers its 78-student enrolment an intense educational experience under the guidance of 11 tenured and tenure-track teachers and professors.

Guru Nanak College of Education for Women consist of DOC of modern range of facilities that can supplement learning environment. As the core of an academic-oriented school, the college possesses up-to-date effective library facilities, which includes books, reference materials and current periodicals. It also has the facility for achieving the NCERT and PSEB books for classes VI-XII to help the student teachers in their structure of lessons. The Educational Psychology Laboratory is one of the foundations of the learning process and provides a wide range of useful psychological tests that can help students to solve educational issues in practice. For the Academic clubs/organisations and College activities/programmes/special occasions the following infrastructures are available; Auditerium and sports facilities.
