The Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour (IPHB), was set up in 1980 as a specialised educational unit located at Bambolim, Goa. This affiliated college has the mission of promoting mental health education and services in this area. Covering an area of 68 .20 acres, IPHB has developed two types of postgraduate programmes and accepts 25 students in total. The institute's commitment to mental health is reflected in its specialised courses: M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work; Diploma in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing. Although the exact ranking is unknown, IPHB is specialized in psychiatric education which is a somewhat rare in Goa.
