Kaliabor College of Education, Nagaon, started in 1992, is a renowned institution that has a long way in advancing the future of Education. Kaliabor College of Education has designed two programmes to meet the requirement of teachers’ education at different stages. The B.Ed or Bachelor of Education programme is a two year full time programme and has an approved intake capacity of one hundred students. The objective of this programme is to produce teachers for secondary and higher secondary education. Besides, the college provides a two-year full time Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) course with an intake capacity of 50 students ineligible for admission to the degree course. This diploma programme is mainly designed to produce teacher for primary and upper primary sections in schools. Each of these courses has been designed to deliver the proper mixture of knowledge and teaching pedagogy to ensure that students graduating from the programme are well equipped to take up their roles as teachers in the future.
