An emerging college for teacher education in Kerala, KET college of teacher education is at Kozhikode is a prestigious institute that focuses on carving the future of educational institution. This affiliated college was started in 2007 and has been training teachers for more than ten years. Recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the institute provides value-added education in a small area of 0.0155 acres. As we have 70 total enrollment and faculties 8 in number, our college, KET College offers intimate classroom settings. Co-education is the major factor which makes this institute famous among male and female students who want to become educators.

The college has all the facilities that can foster the learning opportunities of its students as mentioned below. A good reading center boasts of the kind of stocks it has in terms of periodicals, magazines, journals and new bulletins to ensure students are up to date with educations information. Psychology lab is one of the critical areas within the B.Ed programme; it has been provided with adequate apparatus and is in a right setup for formation of each teacher-student of the college. For practical activities a science lab is used to conduct experiments at the school level. On technology the college is also equipped with a computer laboratory that contains the software and the accessories for computer aided and e-learning. 

KET College of Teacher Education has a well-directed set of courses with only key course – the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course. It is a two-year course done on a full time basis which will afford the student a good understanding of teaching as a profession. Currently the college has an approval to admit 50 students for this program and therefore every student enjoys the college facilities as well as individual attention. The above specific strategy enables the institute to focus on qualifications and development of educated individuals who are capable of transforming the sector of educations.

KET College of Teacher Education admitted learners based on merit lists that follow the guidelines of the state government and the university. It was also noted that the student’s performance in the qualifying examination and /or entrance examination helps in their appraisal. The college may also opt for other selection methodology from time to time in accordance with the norms of the state government of Kerala and the University with which the college is affiliated. This approach makes sure that only those candidates who are willing and capable take the B.Ed. program. However, information as to whether the college offers specific scholarships cannot be provided; however, the college is focused on its mission to help the students achieve their education agenda.
