About Lord Shiva College of Nursing, Sangrur

Lord Shiva College of Nursing was started in 2005 is one of the renowned colleges of Nursing of present era located at Harmirgarh, Moonak, Sangrur District of Punjab. This affiliated college is approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), which makes students learn the course in the nursing field with lots of improvements. The college currently has a student’s capacity of 149 and a faculty of 4 which enables the college to provide a focused training to students who wannabe nurses. The institute provides three specialized nursing programs: Including post basic B.Sc nursing, Auxiliary nurse midwifery (ANM) and General nursing midwifery (GNM) that fulfills the need of different level of nursing education.

As part of the learning environment required for effective learning, the college owns several facilities that improve the health of students. Allclusive, it is found that the male and female students should be provided separate hostel accommodation that can offer them comfortable living conditions for effective studies. A health centre is provided on the college campus with first aid services to attend to the needs of students in case of an emergency. The college library is very useful for college academic work especially for nursing since it stocks a lot of Nursing literature and reference materials. Also, several investments have been made for IT gadgets and services much as the institution acknowledges a critical role of technology in current healthcare education.

All together the college conducted three courses where full time nursing courses were offered based on the students’ employment interests in the nursing field.
