B.Ed. College Madhyamgram was established in 2008 and is therefore one of the teachers' training institutes in Madhyamgram, West Bengal. It is a co-educational college and is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Teachers' Training, Education Planning, and Administration. The college was developed on 1 acre of a compact campus area, which has been assessed and accredited by NAAC and approved by the National Council of Teacher Education. The College has 500 enrolled students in total and 31 faculty members.
The very first is the well-stacked library, acting as a knowledge hub providing much-needed resources to tap for research and studying. Moreover, there are modern laboratories that allow practical learning so that teachers can undergo the essential hands-on training. It has also invested in excellent infrastructure for its IT, keeping it at par with the digital world so as to ensure students are familiar with the uses of educational technology. It has also got enough sports facilities and a gym for the all-round development of the students. Degree Wise Admission Process
B.Ed Bachelor of Education: Madhyamgram B. Ed. College has a sanctioned intake of 100 students for the B.Ed. program. The selection process will follow the policy of the state government and the affiliated university. This program has a two-year duration.
D.EI.Ed. Diploma in Elementary Education: The D.EI.Ed program has an intake of 100 seats. Admission to this program is also on a merit basis considering the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The selection process follows the policy of the state government. For aspiring elementary teachers, this is the course.
M.Ed. Master of Education: The M.Ed. program has an authorized intake of 50 students. Similar to the B.Ed. program, merit is the basis for admission into M.Ed. depending on the qualifying examination or entrance exam score of the candidate. The selection process is carried out according to the state government guideline and that of the associated university. It is a two-year program for those interested in acquiring advanced knowledge in education.
