Magadh College of Education, Gaya Admission Process

Magadh College of Education, Gaya holds a coveted position amongst educational institutions and is affiliated with Magadh University and deemed fit by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Application Process

Application Process constitutes several ear-marks intended at ensuring a fair and transparent admission procedure upheld by the Magadh College of Education, Gaya.

1. Notification: The college announces the commencement of admission process on its official website; news would also be published in other media. Therefore, it would be advisable for candidates to check the college website regularly.

2. Application Form: Candidates are required to obtain and fill out the application form for the respective program, i.e., B.Ed. or M.Ed. The form would be available online on the college website or could also be availed in person from the college office.

3. Documentary Submission: Candidates need to submit the following documents along with the duly filled application form:

  • Passport-size photographs
  • Mark sheets of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th, and graduation for B.Ed.; graduation and B.Ed. for M.Ed.)
  • ID proof
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Any other relevant certificates as specified by the college

4. Entrance Examination: Candidates may sit for an entrance examination depending on the program and existing admission policy. The syllabus and pattern will be notified by the college.

5. Preparation of the Merit List: The merit list is prepared by the college of all eligible candidates based on their academic scores and/or entrance exam scores.

6. The Counseling Session and Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates are called for a counseling session, where they undergo verification of original documents. This step ensures that all the information submitted has been confirmed and meets eligibility criteria.

7. Admission Fee Payment: After the verification process, an allotment of seats will be provided. Hence, candidates have to secure their admission through the program fee payment.

8. Orientation: Students attending a may later be invited and oriented by the college on the various aspects of the college and what a facility offers in way of an academic curriculum.

Admission Process Degree Wise

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education):
Basically, the B.Ed. course at Magadh College of Education is a full-time two-year program to groom would-be teachers in a highly professional way. The college offers 100 seats in this course that works on the basis of merit determined by qualifying examination marks and/or entrance examination marks. The selection may also include other criteria as per the policy of the state government, UT administration, and university. The total fee of the B.Ed. program is Rs.1,50,000.

M.Ed. (Master of Education):
M.Ed. is a two-year postgraduate program with 50 seats available for admission. They consider the merit list for the M.Ed. program according to the marks obtained in the qualifying examination or through an entrance examination. The selection carries on as per the rules set by the state government, university, UT administration, etc. Just like for the B.Ed. program, the total fee for the M.Ed. course is Rs.1,50,000.

Both programs are meant to provide training fully prepared for teachers of the future in theoretical as well as practical applications for real teaching.
