Manikaka Topawala Institute of Nursing, which was established in the year 2009 as a constituent college at Petlad, Gujarat. The institute, spread over 5 acres of land, was granted recognition by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. The institute offers a whole range of nursing courses in 4 degrees and 8 specialities at undergraduate and postgraduate levels with an enrolment of 322 students and a faculty strength of 32.

The institute has adequate modern facilities in its possession for carrying out various academic activities. A health centre with first-aid facilities will be available to help the well-being of the students. The college library serves as a knowledge hub, providing the essential facilities for study and research. MTIN also focuses on physical development through its sports facilities. The institute further enables students with the skill of staying updated on the fast-changing arena of technology through its state-of-the-art IT infrastructure and campus-wide Wi-Fi connectivity. Practice-based training forms a critical part of the curriculum, and well-equipped, specially designed nursing laboratories are set up. 

MTIN offers various nursing courses that aim to fulfil different educational requirements. The institute offers 8 full-time courses in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Undergraduate courses include a 4-year BSc in Nursing and a 3-year General Nursing and Midwifery course. At the postgraduate level, there are diversified programmes, such as a 2-year MSc in Medical Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Child Health Nursing, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing. MTIN also offers a Ph.D. in Nursing to those desiring to make their contribution towards nursing research.

Courses at the undergraduate level, like B.Sc Nursing and GNM, are based on the performance of the candidate in their 12th standard examinations, mainly in science subjects. For the postgraduate admissions, such as in the case of M.Sc Nursing, undergraduate academic performance may be considered along with an entrance examination or an interview. Ph.D. However, the nursing program has a different admission process wherein admissions are made on the basis of the CHARUSAT Doctoral Entrance Test.
