Mookambigai College of Engineering, Pudukkottai, India started in the year 1985 is one of the leading educational institutions of the Tamil Nadu region. This co-educational institute which is located in a vast area of 51.88 acres is an affiliated college endorsed by the management of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college takes 1,380 students, spread over two degree programmes, where it delivers 11 courses in engineering specialties. It aims at providing quality education with an elaborate programme and excellent infrastructure for entry-level engineering courses in the rapidly developing stream.

In this regard, the college offers program’s strength that has sound infrastructure with various academic amenities to improve the learning encounters of the learners. The facility of the centralized library is a sign of academic bankruptcy which contains over 60000 books, more than 60 technical printed journals, 200+ international journals and general 30+magzines. This also helps in availing number of databases for the provision of scholarly information to the members of the institute community. To cater the health needs of the students, college has medical facilities with first aid amenities and to support the students as home away from home, separated hostels for boys and girls are available. It has well equipped facilities for football, basketball, tennis, and healthy performing arts center, state-of-art gym, and a seminar cum auditorium for special occasions and events. To cope up with the IT development the college has provided with the best IT facilities along with well-equipped specialised labs including IoT and AI labs for practical exposure to advanced technologies.

In order to address the needs of a wide range of students, as well as conform to varying demands of the industry, the Mookambigai College of Engineering provides prospective students with a versatile major/minor options in the engineering specialisations. The institute offers 12 courses, of which are as follows; Undergraduate and postgraduate courses – all courses are full time. Based on this fact, the college provides the B.E and B.Tech undergraduate programmes in diverse areas of specialisation in engineering and technology such as Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering new age specialisations include Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. For postgraduate studies The college offers M.E. programmes in Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Communication Systems. The college offers ‘OPJOS’ placements to the students of various disciplines with a total approved intake of 1,380 students full and a healthy student strength to faculty ratio.
