National College of Teachers Education, Satna (NCTE Satna) is one of the reputed colleges involved in the course of teacher education, and which was affirmed in the year 2005. This affiliated college is located in Gram-Sherganj, Satna district of Madhya Pradesh; for almost two decades it has been preparing the future educators. Affiliated to The National Council for Teacher Education NCTE Satna gives various courses in the field of education. It is located in a 5-acre campus enabling the college to foster adequate learning environment. NCTE Satna currently offers a first year student capacity of 54 students and faculty strength of 20 students thus implying careful attention towards the students enrolled for the degree of B.ED.

To facilitate its students, National College of Teachers Education Satna has several facilities to supplement to learning that students undergo. The college library is in a way a knowledge centre which has over 5,000 books and national and international journals, magazines, newspapers etc. It has a large reading hall, a reference area and an audio visual corner. The school also has a well-equipped computer laboratory with a total of thirty computers and best of software to equip the students, for the world of digital classroom. The college also has subject wise laboratories, a hall for events and seminars and a separate health centre with first aid recourses. 

It provides three regular courses in teacher education to meet the need of every stage of schooling. They include; The D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) programme, B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) programme, and M.Ed (Master of Education) programme, which have a course duration of two academic years. 

NCTE Satna follows policies regarding the admission process as prescribed by the state government; the university or UT administration besides admitting students with distinctive merit based on the marks secured in the qualifying examinations and or entrance tests.

B.Ed (Bachelor of Education):
The B.Ed program at NCTE Satna has an approved intake of 50 seats. To gain access to the course, the aspiring individuals will have to apply to the Registrar of Vishwa Vidyalaya through the principal of the college. Applicants will have to submit the prescribed forms and present the certificates signed by the college principal. The selection will depend on the criteria determined by the university and the qualification of the candidates.

M.Ed (Master of Education):
The M.Ed Program at NCTE Satna has a merit-based admission process, while candidates may be selected through their qualifying examination and the entrance examination or any other selection process according to the state government's policy, the university's policy, or that of the UT Administration.
