About Nirmala College of Education, Ujjain

Nirmala College of Education for Women, Ujjain started in the year 2017, is an educational institution which aims at producing capable teachers in future. This affiliated college is situated in Prem Nagar Dewas Road Ujjain – MP and has been approved by National Council for Teacher Education. Situated on a total area of forty-three point seventy-one acres, the college is offering three educational degree courses which have an aggregate admission capacity of 275. Having a proper student-teacher ratio with having 15 members in the faculty of the college, Nirmala College of Education provides quality education to the students.

There are different facilities within the college that aim on improving the learning abilities of the students. Every academic activity requires relevant reading materials that make a good library a central achievement []. An aspect of the physical facilities is the design and availability of modern well-equipped classroom; effectively endowed with teaching-learning requirements. Concerning the practical experiences, the college has functional well-equipped laboratories in place. Students can participate in a variety of games both in- door as well as outdoor and this body helps in boosting of fine arts, sportsmanship etc. 

The college also has an auditorium where issue can be conducted and seminars held thus the college has an active student community. A food station available within the institution provides special foods for students and other members of staff. The college embraces student health by having a hospital where students receive first aid. With the advancement of technology, the college stands as an example of a good IT infrastructural facility with updated knowledge of the new education technologies.

Full time programme include three course in Nirmala College of Education and all course are designed accordingly to the different needs of education system. The two-year B.Ed and four–year B.Sc B.Ed are offering two –year integrated courses and the two- year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El Ed) is also one-year integrated course. Each of these courses has an approved intake of 50 students to mean that every course will have 50 student seats we are therefore talking of 150 student seats. Each of them aims to ensure that learner is prepared adequately to practice the skills and knowledge required in the education sector.

Nirmala College of Education does not require any entrance examination but admissions are given on the merit of the marks secure in the qualifying examination. Admissions for the B.Ed programme are being done through following state government, UT administration and as per the norms laid down by this University. Same process as above followed in case of B.Sc B.Ed programme also, however, while taking admission, the students have to fill pre choices about the disciplines and the pedagogic specializations they prefer. 

These preferences are then awarded in regard to merit, and quantity available to teach students, and other factors which are deemed worthy by the authorities. Candidate must clear merit list according to the norms set by state government, UT administration and the university for admission in D.El.Ed program. Any prospecting student should check the college website or with the admission department because the dates and deadlines may differ with the academic year. Degree Wise Admission Process

B.Ed.:
The B.Ed. course at Nirmala College of Education is for a period of two years, having a strength of 50 students. Admission in this course is on merit based on the marks scored in qualifying examination and /or entrance examination, according to relevant state government, UT administration, and university policies. Other criteria may be stipulated by the authorities for selection.

B.Sc. B.Ed.:
This is a four years program and the sanctioned intake for students is 50. Admission procedure for B.Sc. B.Ed. is like that of B.Ed.; however, merit remains the main criterion. An additional step is added in this procedure. On the receipt of admission, students are called upon to give their preferences regarding discipline options and pedagogic specializations-cases shall be built against the merits obtained in addition to the availability of seats and factors considered appropriate by the authorities.

D.El.Ed.:
Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is a two-year-duration course having a sanctioned intake of 50 students. Merit also determines admission to the course as per the marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test. The selection process is done as per the policy laid down by the government of the state, UT administration, and the university.
