About Pratibha College of Education, Saraipali

Pratibha College of Education is the affiliated college which was established in 2011 at Saraipali Balsi Mahasamund Chhattisgarh. This brought into establishment of this co-educational institution that is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and specialises in educational programmes. The college is located on a 3.45 acres land and it has in total 200 students intake and is facilitated by eleven faculties. Pratibha College of Education currently offers two programmes: D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) and B.Ed (Bachelor of Education), each with an approved intake 100 students. 

The college has state of art amenities to enhance the learning environment as well as the general health of the students. The students of both sexes are provided with hostel facilities; this means that, when studying, they will not have to live in uncomfortable conditions. The campus has well stocked library centre to promote adequate educational materials among the students. This college provides the facilities such as; The practical practical is provided by the departmental laboratories, Modern education practices- The college has well developed IT infra structure. Concerning physical fitness, several students have access to sporting equipment and that are housed on campus. Refreshments are also available at the campus canteen while first aid facilities are available at the health centre which the campus also boasts of the transport service to help students move from one part of the campus to the other. 

Pratibha College of Education, Saraipali follow a niche approach of education and offers two programmes solely in the field of education. The D.El.Ed and B.Ed both are regular programmes that take two years to complete. The college recognises that the admission rate of the courses is 100 students per programme hence a total of 200 students enrol for the two programmes. The above approach enhances the delivery of quality education as an institution of higher learning in training teachers for the sector.

Degree-wise Admission Process

  • D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
    D.El.Ed at Pratibha College of Education, Saraipali, has an intake of 100 students, which is duly accorded. Admission to this program depends on merit based on the marks obtained in the qualifying exam (10+2) and/or any entrance exam as per the rules and regulations of the state government or UT administration. Two-year-long on-the-job training would be given to elementary education teachers.

  • B.Ed (Bachelor of Education):
    B.Ed – the course has again been given a valid intake of 100 students. B.Ed admission process follows the parameters established by the State Government and the Appropriate University. Selection is made through qualifying exam (graduation) performance and/or entrance examination. The program is a two-year regular course preparing the students to take to the teaching profession in secondary education.
