The Punjab Public College of Nursing Bathinda established in 2003 is an affiliated college situated in the center of Punjab India. This women-only institution is an INC approved institute whose prime focus is on grooming the future healthcare professionals. Located in a campus of 6.5 acres, the college provides all over nursing programs which are B.Sc Nursing, Post B.Sc Nursing, G.N.M and A.N.M. Thus with a total admission student capacity of 437 and faculty of 22 the college is capable to deliver requisite individual attention and quality health care education to aspiring nurses.
Punjab Public College of Nursing has all the requisite principles of an outstanding institution which have been complemented by installations that enrich the learning process of the learners. Nursing Foundation, Anatomy, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Nutrition, Community, Maternal & Child Health & Computer labs have been equipped to enable the students to acquaint themselves with the necessary practical knowledge that is required. It is a storehouse of information with a vast number of national and international books and magazines and accompanied by digital and e-library facilities. As part of the co-curriculum to ensure that the students are well developed the college provides sports facilities and gym. Girls’ hostel available on campus has separate and neat accommodation, canteen and cleaning services, telephone facility, arranged indoor games and Television waiting lounge etc..
Currently, Punjab Public College of Nursing provides four full time degrees in nursing course. The B.Sc Nursing offers 60 intake seats and is a four year course to train the students in many aspects of nursing field. The Post Basic B.Sc Nursing provides the students an opportunity to enhance their professional qualification in nursing and this programme runs for two years with capacitating 40 students. It also provides three year GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course and two year A N M (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) course comprising of intake of 60 each in order to fulfil demand of different knowledge level of nursing.
