Puranmal Bajoria Teachers' Training College, Bhagalpur is a coeducational teacher training institution situated in the State of Bihar. The process of admission in the college is merit based and follows the norms laid down by the State Government of Bihar and the affiliated university. Two regular teacher training programs are offered where Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is two years' course whereas Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is two years in duration with in-depth training in pedagogy and theories of education.

The merit of the competitors is considered on the basis of qualifying examination results and/or entrance examination. Application Process
The application process for Puranmal Bajoria Teachers Training College consists of the following stages:

Admission Process Degree wise
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education): The B.Ed program at Puranmal Bajoria Teachers Training College presently has an approved intake of 100 seats. Admission to the B.Ed program will, however, be based purely on merit by taking into account the marks secured by applicants in both the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The selection procedures are in accordance with the policy of the state government, UT administration, and the affiliated university. Therefore, any prospective candidate applying for admission to the B.Ed program must have acquired a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed): The D.El.Ed program of Puranmal Bajoria Teachers Training College has an intake of 50 seats. The admission process for D.El.Ed is very similar to that of B.Ed again merit-wise. The merit-wise selection is based on the state government/UT administration policy for the qualifying examination and/or entrance test performance. The eligibility criteria for D.El.Ed ordinarily entail that candidates have completed at least 10+2 or its equivalent qualification from a recognized board.
