RCIT was set up in 2008 and is a constituent college, situated in Bishrampur, Jharkhand. Sprawling over a large area of thirteen point Five six acres of land in Bangalore city, RCIT is recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). There exists five B.Tech programmes of which the institute intended to offer a total of five hundred and thirteen students enrolment and a faculty of forty-seven.
RCIT has got several beautiful facilities which enhance their learning condition in this generation. Every department of the institute has well laid out laboratories which also give practical experience which is very important in the engineering college. A modemised library facility as the stock of knowledge resource centre housing over fifty thousand text books and one hundred and fifty national and international journal subscriptions. The e-library facility coupled with services from DELNET provides the students with access to a rich database. For the needy students RCIT has been offering hostel facilities for boys and girls separately with having facility of internet in hostel also so that students may have to study throughout night also if needed.
The institute teaches five full time B.Tech programmes all of which take four academic years to complete. These courses offered are relevant for many fields of engineering making the institute offer a generic technical education. This distribution that is balanced will put extra effort to provide personalised attention to all these specialisations together with efficiently using resources.

These programmes include Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering. Ramchandra Chandravansi Institute of Technology admission to these programmes is given on the basis of the candidate's performance in either JCECEB or JEE Main. The admission procedure requires candidates to have qualified JCECEB/AIEEE (4 years) or the Common Entrance test conducted by RCIT.
Duration of each B.Tech course in RCIT is 4 years spanning a total fee structure of Rs. 220400/- for the entire course. The institution manages proper specialisation distribution so that it could give a wholesome technical education in diverse engineering fields.
