Senthil College of Education, Vriddhachalam Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

The Senthil College of Education in Vridhachalam is a historic teachers' training institution and is well acknowledged in all of Tamil Nadu State in the Cuddalore District. The institution has a recognition from NCTE, and two major educational programs are offered at the undergraduate level.  Admissions at Senthil College of Education are purely based on merit, which is determined pursuant to the rules laid down by the state government and Union Territory administration, apart from those laid down by the present affiliated university. In regard to both BEd and MEd, admission on merit is given in consideration of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or through entrance examination as provided under the applicable policies at that point of time.

Admission Process

The application procedures for both courses of B.Ed. and M.Ed. courses in Senthil College of Education are:

1. Eligibility Check: Checking whether you qualify for the desired program or not. B.Ed. candidates are usually those having a degree in any discipline, while M.Ed. candidates would require that the candidate has a B.Ed. degree.

2. Application Form: Obtaining the application form and filling it in. It may be available on the college's website or at the college admission office.

3. Submit Documents: Submit the completed application form with all required documents such as:

• Marks sheets of qualifying examinations
• Transfer Certificates
• Conduct Certificate
• Community Certificate (if applicable)
• Entrance exam scorecard (if applicable)
• Any other certificates as specified by the college

4. Application Fee. Application Fee will have to be paid. The fee amount and mode of payment will be specified in due time by the college.

5. Entrance Test. Attending the entrance test, wherever applicable, as required by policy of state or university.

6. Merit List. The college will fill the seats according to a merit list, depending on the criteria stipulated for each program (qualifying exam marks and/or entrance).

7. Counseling & Admission: The shortlisted candidates will be invited only for counseling, in which they will opt for the desired specialization (for the B. Ed.) and continue for admission procedures.

8. After the selection, candidates shall pay the required fee through any convenient mode, completing the admission process.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): Admission is based on merit determined by the marks received in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. There is a total of one hundred sanctioned seats for B.Ed. course in Senthil College of Education. Selection is done in conformance with the rules laid down by the State Government, Union Territory administration, and the policies of the affiliated university. The B.Ed. course is run for two years.  

M.Ed. (Master of Education): M.Ed. Admission is based entirely on merit, with 50 sanctioned seats available. Merit shall be computed as per the policy of the state government, the affiliated university, or the UT administration based on marks secured in the qualifying examination, entrance examination, or any other selection process. It is going to be 2 Years of Duration.
