About Sha-Shib College of Engineering, Chikkaballapur

Sha-Shib College of Engineering (SSCE), was found in the year 2009, the college is situated at Chikkaballapur, Karnataka state, 42 km away from Bangalore International Airport. This affiliated college, having AICTE approval for its multiple programmes, offers various areas of engineering courses. SSCE is located in a 11.4 acre campus and it has 228 students enrolment faculty 60. Currently, the institute offer 5 courses within two degrees in different engineering fields and aviation management. The vision of SSCE is focused on attainment of quality Technical education and to ensure that students are equipped for the future technological employment market.

Sha-Shib College of Engineering has almost all the requirements that would be so useful in developing the student’s learning capacity and potential. The campus has well-developed laboratories equipped with standard modern facilities to allow practical sessions. A modern computer laboratory which is fully equipped with 90 HCL DUAL CORE computers connected with internet, has been laid to ensure the availability of computerised documents. The library is a source of information, which contains books on all subjects of VTU syllabus, and the library is computerised using Soul Software. In regards to physical fitness and recreation SSCE has organised sports facilities and a gym. The college also provides different hostel facilities for boys and girls with proper room and mess facilities for those students who are coming from other states. Merely, a health centre along with first aid facilities, an auditorium for holding events and seminars a cafetaria also adds to the campus facility.

Roughly, the Sha-Shib College of Engineering has only 5 courses it offers and all of these are the full time courses. It offers 5 BE programmes and 1 BBA programme in the institute at present with Industry Integrated curriculum. The BE programmes are Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering and each of the program takes duration of 4 academic years. The BBA programme in Aviation Management is offered over 3 years.

Sha-Shib College of Engineering (SSCE), situated in Chikkaballapur, Karnataka, is an affiliated college providing students with courses in different engineering disciplines. Admission into SSCE is based on the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), which is the main avenue that aspiring students wishing to enter into a degree in engineering will have to follow. KCET is usually conducted in April or May and the results come out in June.

The college now offers five BE (Bachelor of Engineering) programs and one BBA program, with a total student intake of 228. The engineering programs are Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Aeronautical Engineering, with a stipulated duration of 4 academic years each. The BBA program in Aviation Management is of 3 years duration.

For BE programs, students should have successfully completed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. The KCET score plays a decisive role in the process of admission by determining eligibility and ranking of the students for different engineering programs at SSCE.

Admission Procedure

The admission procedure of Sha-Shib College of Engineering is related mostly to the KCET. Here is the guideline on how to apply if one is interested in enrolling for the college:

B.Tech/BE: All BE courses at SSCE require candidates to be nominated based on their merit in KCET.

In order to be eligible for admission into the above programs, the applicants are required to qualify KCET and attend the counseling process conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority.
