Shankara Institute of B.Ed., Jaipur, was set up in the year 2004 and is located in the RIICO Industrial Area of Jaipur The institution specialises in training teachers. It is a co-educational institute that is located in a small piece of land of 0.51 acres and aims at preparing educators of the future. Recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) affiliated to NCTE and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Shankara Institute Provides the quality education to the teaching aspirants. A present, the institute has a total student population of 397 students and 28 teaching faculties hence the student-teacher ratio is ideal.

Shankara Institute of B.Ed has the prestige of having several recent creations of modern facilities to accommodate the learning needs of students. The school has a well stocked library room with over 8910 books, 2500 Reference books and gets 25 National and International journals every month. As for practical and experimental activities, the institute offers both Psychology Laboratory and Curriculum Laboratory, both containing the necessary equipment for Biology and general science practicals. The students' opportunity of having specific hostel facility for boys and for girls, with separate rooms having substitute modern amenities and composite and continuous lab essentials at any time of the day. Shankara Institute of B.Ed. offers two full-time courses, two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) as well as the two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.). The B.Ed. has an intake capacity of 200 with approval. These programmes aims at producing professional teachers by offering different courses and training tutorial’s with practical experiences.

Shankara Institute of B.Ed. follows the norms prescribed by the state government regarding admission to the B.Ed. course worth one academic year. In case of the B.Ed programmes, the candidate are admitted through Pre Teacher Education Test (PTET) conducted in the state of Rajasthan. Admission to the D.El.Ed. course will be strictly merit-based; the merit list being the consolidated percentage acquired at the qualifying examination and/or a written entrance examination, as per the existing policy of the state government. he school also has NAAC accreditation and NCTE approval for its courses in order to guarantee future professional preparedness of graduating educators.
