Shanti Niketan College of Education, Hisar was established in the year 2006. It is a co-educational college, having the aim to instigate development in future teachers and is affiliated to a state university. SNCE is an institution which eminently believes in inculcating good quality education, and hence it is duly approved by NCTE. It offers B.Ed, M.Ed, and D.Ed with a total enrollment of 489 in the educational sector. A faculty of 20 highly qualified teachers ensures that SNCE enjoys a good student-teacher ratio, which is conducive for effective personalized attention and guidance for each aspiring teacher.

At the very core, the College has impressive amenities in its own campus that facilitate the process of learning. It has well-equipped laboratories like the Science Lab, which comprises adequate apparatus for individual practicals; Language Lab with materials approved by NCTE; Educational Technologies Lab; Social Studies Lab; and Teaching Aids Lab. There is a total of three full-time courses in Shanti Niketan College of Education, all within the stream of teacher education. Bachelor of Education is the flagship course with the largest full-time course run by the institution and with an approved intake capacity of 200 seats. The M.Ed and Dip.Ed are approved for intake at 50 each.

In Shanti Niketan College of Education, admission is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination and entrance examination. The college follows the policies of admission as prescribed by the state government, the U.T. Administration, and the affiliated university.
