Shanti Niketan College of Education, Hisar Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a boys’ hostel facility. The hostel facility is provided to the boys. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and fitted with fan lights and hard furniture. These are allotted on a shared basis. The warden and attendants on duty take proper care of the students. Food and other facilities such as a washer, man, electrician, medical officer, and sweepers are also provided.

The college has a Girl's hostel facility. The hostel facility is provided to the girls. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and fitted with fan lights and hard furniture. The college has a library that is well-equipped in terms of the number of books, back volumes, and current journals subscribed to. All the new students are introduced to the library collections and services. The rules and regulations are instructed to them during the orientation program. 

 The college computerised Library has a unique and extensive collection of books concerning various aspects of Education, along with nationally acclaimed educational journals, Periodicals, surveys, ready references, encyclopedias, theses, magazines, CD-ROMs,s & Newspapers. These resources are upgraded every year, and subscriptions are renewed for educational journals of national and international acclaim. The Library has a Book Bank which provides the students with textbooks for almost all the subjects for the complete course duration.

 Reading Materials have been shelved very conveniently for ease of reference. Library Staff members are always available to help students and staff alike. Materials are issued on a fortnightly basis to students and on an annual basis to faculty members. Overdue charges should be enquired at the checkout counter while issuing reading materials. The Library has a Reading Room with having sitting capacity of over 150 students with a huge collection of reference books and magazines. Daily Newspapers are also readily available for reading.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. 

Science Lab: The Lab is equipped with various models and different apparatus testing materials. Our physical chemistry Bio technologies Laboratories have all the equipment in sufficient quantity so that each pupil teacher can perform their practicals individually. 

Language Lab: Language laboratories and the social studies lab are highlighted for the institution as they are equipped with materials presented by the NCTE.

Educational Technologies and Audio Visual and Aids Lab: This lab contains an overhead Projector, Slide Projector (Manual and automatic), Epidiascope, DVD Player, TV & PA System.

SS Lab: This lab consists of the Atlas of India, Maps of India, and the world. 

TA Lab: This lab contains different charts and models that are helpful in different teaching papers.

Chalkboard Writing Lab: Contains about 20 blackboards and Superior quality Simple and colored chalk.

Gardening Lab: Contains pots of different sizes and coloration & gardening instruments like Kassi, Khurpa, Tasla, and different-sized paint brushes.

The college has a spacious, clean, and well-maintained canteen on the college campus. The students can sit there in recess or in free periods.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has sports facilities for all students. Considering the recreational and sports needs of the students, a well-equipped Sports Room has been provided in the college. Initially, Table-Tennis, Cardboard, and Chess were provided in it. Besides these, the students have been given the opportunities to work on exercise machines like rollers, cycles, etc for the development of sound health and body.

 In order to keep our young talents full of life and vigor, we encourage and organize lots of sports activities in the college. The list includes cricket, football, badminton, softball, and many more. The institute organizes sports events every year for the students. We believe in healthy hearts and strong minds.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has spacious, architecturally designed lecture and tutorial rooms, airy and electric gadgets, glossy chalkboards, and flannel boards all intact, and furnished with adequate modern furniture.

The college has a transport facility. For the convenience of the students bus facility is also provided,d which picks up and drops the students from various stops in their city.
