About SIPE Law College, Dibrugarh

SIPE Law College, Dibrugarh was established in 2009 for providing reputed legal education at Dibrugarh in the state of Assam. This affiliated college is duly recognised by the Bar Council of India and imparts professional law courses to newer generations of students in the fields of law. The location of the college is near the Polo Ground in Graham Bazaar. There are 15 dedicated teachers in this institution. SIPE Law College offers an integrated course in law with three programs having 60 students each, thus providing a concentrated learning atmosphere. 

The institution provides a variety of facilities that would benefit the learning process of the students. The institution has a library that is very well-stocked with books, textbooks, journals, and legal reference works. It also subscribes to law judgements from the Supreme Court and High Courts of India, besides facilities for central acts and rules. The reading room, comfortable and spacious, is appended to the library; it provides a place where the students can comfortably sit, study, and conduct photocopying—making an apt atmosphere for legal research.

The approved intake for each course is 60 students, so all the courses put together total to 180 seats. Degree wise Admission Process

BBA LLB (Hons): This fully integrated five-year program combines business administration and law. The intake for BBA LLB (Hons.) is 60 students. The admission process is probably based on the merit obtained by the students in the qualifying examination coupled with an entrance test or an interview, if at all. Rs. 1,81,000 is the amount charged for this program.

B.Com LLB (Hons): This integrated program would impart knowledge of commerce as well as law. The intake limit is also 60. The procedure for admission is the same as that of BBA LLB, which is mostly based on academic merit. The fee structure is not provided for the same.

BA LLB (Hons): This program integrates training in arts subjects with that of law. The intake is 60 students. The admission process is followed in the same manner as above. The total fee of BA LLB (Hons.) is Rs. 1,81,000.

These three programs are so structured as to lay a sound foundation in law together with its specialization in business, commerce, or arts accordingly in order to prepare students for a myriad of career options in the legal domain.
