SKDAV Government Polytechnic Rourkela came into existence in the year 1967. It is a coeducational institution. The government of Odisha has recognised SKDAV Government Polytechnic and has given its approval to AICTE. The College of SKDAV Government Polytechnic is affiliated with the Directorate of Technical Education and Training, Cuttack. SKDAV Government Polytechnic Rourkela is offering diploma courses in the areas of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Information Technology.
Admission to the diploma courses at SKDAV Government Polytechnic is through merit based on the past academic performance of the qualifying exam. Applicants must have obtained a passing grade in HSC (10th standard) or an equivalent exam, which is held by BSE, Odisha, or any other recognized board. Usually, a minimum overall mark of 35% in English, Maths, and Science subjects is required.
