National Council for Teacher Education affiliated SR College at Gwalior. The college runs teacher training programmes in specialised curricula directing student careers in primary education. The SR College admission method is meant to select worthy candidates who have the desire to become teachers. Thus, SR College admission is given to students who come in purely from the scores obtained in the qualifying examination as defined by Madhya Pradesh State Government. Candidates need to have completed 10+2 or an equivalent examination to be eligible.

The SR College, Gwalior currently offers one primary course, that is Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) The course trains students within a two-year full-time methodology about knowledge and skills in primary teacher profession.

It is a programme preparing students for working as teachers at the primary education level in subjects such as Mathematics, Information Technology, Physical Education, Art and Music, Science, and Christian Religion.
