    St Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology, Mangalore has a placement cell that helps the students in getting employment opportunities in various reputed companies. Thus, the AIMIT Placement Cell coordinates all the placement activities and aids thel recruitment process. It acts as a common link between the industry and the job seekers. Eminent personalities from the industry regularly visit the campus for guest lectures, seminars and interactive sessions which immensely help the students to prepare for the rigorous selection process. Through the placement cell, AIMIT makes students constantly aware of the changing trends and demands of the corporate world.

    • Invitation- Firstly, the AIMIT Placement Cell coordinates with the recruiting companies and sends an invitation to the past and potential recruiters via mail along with annexure and other documents such as a brochure to the potential recruiters for placement drive.
    • Acceptance of Invitation - Once the company wishes to conduct campus placement at AIMIT, in return fills in all the necessary information in the annexure and reverts via mail and confirms their presence for conducting the placement drive and gives a briefing about the company profile, job profile and other details about the campus recruitment drive.
    • Fixing a Placement Schedule and Slot Allocation for AIMIT Placements - Upon mutual agreement between the Placement Cell then fixes dates with various recruiters and a placement schedule are fixed upon mutual agreement and the placement schedule is shared with the students and after fixing dates with the recruiters, slots are allocated to the recruiting companies for visiting the campus for conducting the placement process.
    • Shortlisting of Registered Candidates - After registrations, the CVs of the registered candidates are shortlisted and only these shortlisted candidates are eligible to participate in the placement process.
    • Pre Placement Talk - The shortlisted candidates move to the next stage of the placement process and companies visiting for conducting a pre-placement talk for the students so that they are well aware of the basic policies followed by the company. This two-way communication helps the students to clear all the queries.
    • Various Screening Tests Conducted by Recruiters - Once the pre-placement talk has been delivered by the recruiting companies, in order to judge the intelligent quotient, aptitude, logical ability, domain knowledge and suitability towards specific skill-sets of the potential students, screening tests are taken and candidates qualifying the test further proceed with the placement process.
    • Group Discussion and Interview - Students clearing the screening test will further have to participate in Group Discussion which may be on any topic, it can be a social, political, business-related topic, etc and the participating candidates voicing their opinion and presenting their thoughts in front of the interviewers are selected in this round of the placements.
