    Mangalore University is a public state university established in the year 1980. National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited it with an ‘A’ grade. The university is approved by the University Grants Commission. With a campus spreading over an area of 353 acres, the varsity has 26 postgraduate departments. Presently, 204 colleges are affiliated with Mangalore University. As per the official website of the university, its mission is to cultivate critical thinking among students so that they can be creative and innovative. It offers a total of 47 courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. 

    Candidates need to appear for Karnataka PGCET for admission in Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) programmes. Mangalore University provides merit-based admission to all the postgraduate programmes (expect M.B.A. and M.C.A.). The eligibility criteria for admission in PG courses is a bachelor degree from a recognised university. The university offers scholarships to eligible students and has a placement cell to provide job opportunities to students during their final year of study.     The campus of the varsity has a well-stocked library for students and faculty members. Separate hostels for boys and girls students are there at the campus for the accommodation of outstation students.     Mangalore University Admissions

    The interested candidates can take admission in UG, PG and postgraduate diploma courses offered by the varsity. The university takes bachelor degree marks into consideration for admission in all the postgraduate courses other than M.B.A. and M.C.A.
