 Swami Parmanand College of Engineering and Technology (SPCET) is one of the best technical institutions in the tri-city area, which began its journey in 2004. It is situated on a 47-acre campus that has the Shiwalik hills overlooking. It is a college that is affiliated with I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) and is approved by the Government of Punjab. 

The Seth Nand Lal Bajaj Educational and Charitable Society, which is committed to delivering quality technical and management education, is the college’s manager. SPCET relays multiple UG and PG courses. The list includes B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering (Cyber Security and Forensics specialization), Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering, besides MBA in Finance, Human Resources, and Sales & Marketing. 

The overall capacity of B.Tech is around 240 seats, divided into various branches. B.Tech admission will primarily be based on merit in the qualifying exams like CBSE or Punjab State Board, and JEE Main scores may also be taken into account. MBA aspirants should hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks, and the CMAT score will be considered. The procedure also involves counselling and document verification at the college.
