This is the Thokchom Ibotombi Institute of Teacher Education and Training, Bishnupur, which was founded in 1997 The institute is one of the most recognised institutions in Manipur, India. Situated on 7 acres of land, it is a coeducational institute that prepares one for being a teacher. Being an affiliated college, it functions under the sanction of the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) regarding the norms governing teacher education throughout the country. 

The institute currently only has one degree, which is the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) The institute has a total student capacity of 100 and total enrolment, claiming for its specialised nature in teacher training programme. The faculty of the institute is presently 15; So as a result, the institute has a decent student-teacher ratio that will enable better students-faculty interaction and quality education.

The institute possesses several amenities, which they claimed would aid in improving their student learning.
