The Manipur University, Imphal is a central university and was established in 1980. Manipur University has been accredited 'B+' Grade by NAAC and has 119 associated Colleges, including 2 Medical Colleges. A constituent college of the university, Manipur Institute of Technology (MIT) is housed inside the School of Engineering and has six departments. The university also provides pre-placement training for the students which helps them to get a better job offer.

College Infrastructure

Manipur University is one of the Central University hence there is not a single question about its infrastructure. It has a wide area of 300 acres. More than 10 hostels for each Men's and women's.A huge library and playgrounds for all type of games and sports. Classrooms are well efficient and smart. Wifi available throughout the campus. Everything is hygienic and clean.
