Keladi Shivappa Nayaka University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Shivamogga: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Shivamogga (UAHS) was established in 2012. This is the first integrated university in the state of Karnataka, which has both agricultural and horticultural sciences under its purview. The University came into existence in 2012 with the jurisdiction of seven districts, which are  Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, Davanagere and Chitradurga. The University was established focusing on the importance of modern science and technology and higher education as a means to develop the food production of the country. UAHS is an academic partner with several national and international reputed organisations, which help in moulding the Post Graduate students in their future career in academics, research and extension. UAHS offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the faculties of Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Agricultural Marketing & Co-operation and Agricultural Engineering. 

Location: University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Shivamogga is located at Krushi College, Savalanga Road, Shivamogga, Karnataka. Mangalore Junction is about 211 km from the UAHS and the nearest bus depot is KSRTC Bus Depot which is about 11 km away from the University. The nearest airport to the UAHS is Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru, which is about 322 km. Shivamogga Airport is about 22 km from the UAHS.
