Yannam David College of Elementary Education and Kattupalli Yohan College of Education, Guntur, provides considerable opportunities for aspirants in teaching. The college is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi with a vision to impart high-quality education toward teacher training programs. In the admission process, the aim is to select those candidates who are eligible and deserving and sincerely want to enter this profession. The selection process in the college is, therefore, fair and merit-based for its two full-time courses: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.). 

The assessment is on the basis of marks earned in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination conducted by the affiliated college. The institution shall also abide by other selection processes either introduced by the State Government of Andhra Pradesh or by the concerned affiliated university. The admission process is usually fixed with reference to the academic calendar, implying that applications for these programs are opened in the months preceding the academic year commencing.

Application Process

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed (Bachelor of Education): The B.Ed. program at Yannam David College of Elementary Education and Kattupalli Yohan College of Education represents a full-time, campus-based training course in teacher education. For this course, 50 seats are made available. Admissions to the B.Ed. course, therefore, are merit-based and conducted on the basis of marks secured by candidates at the qualifying examination or through an Entrance Examination conducted by the college. Any other mode of selection may be applicable as per the policy of the State Government of Andhra Pradesh or that of the concerned affiliated university.

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): This D.El.Ed program, with an allotment of 50 seats, is also full-time and campus-based. Admission into the D.El.Ed.and B.Ed. programs is on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or an entrance examination. The State Government and affiliated university guidelines will also be obeyed by the institution in the selection process.
