About ISI Admission Test 2020

Indian Statistical Institute will conduct ISI admission test on May 10 to invite admissions into the various courses like B.Stat, B.Math, and M.Tech. Candidates appearing for ISI admission test 2020 will have to complete the online application procedure within the prescribed time period. ISI admission test is conducted offline and candidates must ensure that they are eligible before applying for the respective programme. Candidates will have to take a print out of the admit card of ISI admission test 2020 which will be generated after the application procedure is over. Candidates will be called for the interviews on the basis of their performance in ISI admission test 2020 for the further procedure which includes document verification.

  • Candidate must have studied and passed English and Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent examination

ISI Admission Test M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Candidates appearing for ISI admission test 2020 M.Tech must go through the eligibility criteria given below to ensure that they are eligible to apply. Candidates must have either of the given degrees to be eligible for ISI admission 2020 M.Tech.

  • Master's degree in Mathematics/Statistics/ Physics/ Electronic Science/ Computer Science/ Computer Applications/Information Technology or, 
  • BE/B. Tech. degree or any other qualification considered equivalent (such as AMIE or, DOEACC ‘B’ Level)

Candidates appearing for the ISI Admission test 2020 will have to complete the online application procedure within the prescribed time period. Candidates have to register by entering the required details and create a login account. After successful registration, the complete application form has to be filled and the relevant documents including photograph and signature have to be uploaded in the prescribed format. After the form filling is completed, application fee has to be paid which will be collected through the State Bank of India Collect website. It must be noted that it will take at least two days to process the fee payment after the completion of the form filling. The application fee can be paid through the NetBanking, Debit card, Credit Card or through Challan for cash payment at the SBI Branch.

While M.Tech (QROR) will have stat/ prob/ Math/Engineering as the subjects.

ISI Admission Test 2020 Mock Test

Candidates should practise the mock tests of ISI admission test to have a revision of all that has been prepared. Solving the mock tests will help in self-evaluating the preparation level and figure out the weaknesses. 

Admit card for the ISI Admission test will be generated after the completion of the application procedure. Candidates will have to download the admit card by clicking on the link which will be provided. The registration number will also be generated along with the admit card. Candidates are required to take a print out of the admit card of ISI admission test 2020 which is a mandatory document to appear for the test. ISI Admission Test 2020 Answer Key

The answer key of ISI admission test will be released by the official authorities. Candidates will have an opportunity to challenge the answer keys within the prescribed time period if they find any discrepancy. Candidates challenging answer key will have to pay the required amount which will be refunded if the challenge is found valid. 

Candidates will be shortlisted based on the result of ISI admission test. The result will be announced in the form of the merit list. According to the result obtained they will be called for the interview and document verification. The following details will be mentioned in the result of the ISI admission test:

There's no limit to the number of attempts a candidate can have for the ISI entrance exam. The application procedure will approximately be from February to March, 2020 and the exam is on 10th May, 2020. With good preparation you'll be Able to ecrack it in one go, All the best !

Am i eligible for M.Tech QROR in ISI Kolkata without having Science in HS level? I am a Lateral Entry B.Tech student after Diploma Engg.

As you have asked for the eligiblity criteria in ISI Kolkata for M.Tech, then for getting selected in M.Tech (QROR) their are following eligibility criteria which i am listing below.

1. Master’s Degree in Statistics with Physics and Chemistry at the (10+2) level; or

2. Master’s Degree in Mathematics with Statistics as a subject at undergraduate or post-graduate            level, and Physics and Chemistry at the (10+2) level; or  

3. BE/B Tech degree or any other qualification considered equivalent (such as AMIE).

As according to the above qualification that you have mentioned above i can say that you are eligible for the following course.

Hey Arms,

ISI (Indian Statistical Institute) conducts an exam or an admission test every year. This exam will give you an opportunity to get admission in the Postgraduate, diploma and doctorate programs offered at Indian Statistical Institute.

  • Step 1: You have to apply online for registration to appear for the entrance exam. For PG courses you have to apply on the admission portal
  • Step 2: after registration, the institute will provide you an admit card. You can download the admit card from their website
  • Step 3: You have to appear for the exam
  • Step 4: Check the result after it gets published. ISI Kolkata results can be seen in their notice board
  • Step 5: According to their marks and eligibility criteria, the candidates should prepare for their interview.
  • Step 6: After interview, if the candidate is selected then He/She should complete the verification and other Formalities
  • Step 7: Institute will commence their classes.

The syllabus of Examination are

  • Geometry: Plane geometry. The geometry of 2 dimensions with Cartesian and polar coordinates. Equation of a line, the angle between two lines, distance from a point to a line. Concept of a Locus. Area of a triangle. Equations of circle, parabola, ellipse and hyperbola and equations of their tangents and normals. Mensuration.
  • Algebra: Sets, operations on sets. Prime numbers, factorization of integers and divisibility. Rational and irrational numbers. Permutations and combinations, basic probability. Binomial Theorem. Logarithms. Polynomials: Remainder Theorem, Theory of quadratic equations and expressions, relations between roots and coefficients. Arithmetic and geometric progressions. Inequalities involving arithmetic, geometric & harmonic means. 
  • Trigonometry: Measures of angles. Trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions. Trigonometric identities including addition formulae, solutions of trigonometric equations.
  • Calculus: Sequences - bounded sequences, monotone sequences, the limit of a sequence. Functions, one-one functions, onto functions. Limits and continuity. Derivatives and methods of differentiation. The slope of a curve. Tangents and normals. Maxima and minima. Using calculus to sketch graphs of functions.

The exam consists of two parts:

Part 1: 30 questions 120 marks and duration is 2 hrs MCQ 

Part 2: Discipline wise section which consisting of MCQ or descriptive questions.
